Who is eligible for electronic visas to enter the Russian Federation today?

Russia began issuing single-entry electronic visas on August 1, 2023. Citizens of 55 countries can apply for such a visa to enter Russia for tourism, business, humanitarian, and personal visits, as well as to participate in socio-political, economic, and sporting events. These visas are only valid for single entry. The validity period of the electronic visa is 60 calendar days from the date of issuance, but it allows a stay in Russia for no more than 16 days.

According to the Director of the Consular Department, the total cost of obtaining an electronic visa for foreign citizens, including all fees and charges, will not exceed $52. Single-entry electronic visas are valid for crossing the border via automobile, air, and water transport, as well as through pedestrian checkpoints.
